The Program Coordinator for Car Seat Services and Safe at Home will be an integral part of the Safety Center's Clinical Services initiative, part of the Children's Wisconsin Community Health and Education team. Our mission is to ensure children are healthy, safe, and able to thrive. The Program Coordinator will primarily support the hospital-based Car Seat Services and Safe at Home initiatives, with a focus on health and safety education for patient families and hospital staff. They will manage car seat distribution to ensure that the appropriate car seats are provided properly to patients prior to discharge and are riding home safely. The coordinator will also be responsible for the coordination of the Safe at Home program and carry out all program activities related to the work plan. Duties include coordinating and assisting with the creation and delivery of educational opportunities, including providing training for families and staff, facilitating meetings and agendas, researching information and data in preparation of reports or presentations, and reaching out to individuals or groups to build relationships.
Bachelor's degree preferred. However, relevant work experience in community health, public health, human services, social work, business management or other health related field may be considered.
Requires at least 1 year of experience in program coordination or administrative support. Previous experience working with a community health and / or injury prevention coalition highly desired.
Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician training required within 3 months of hire.
Requires a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, minimum liability insurance coverage and the ability to be insured by the CW auto insurance carrier.

Ability to resolve conflicts appropriately.
Fluency in Spanish (both written and verbal) preferred.
