What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthcare Quality Improvement Analyst position at Children Service Center?
Purpose of this position:
This position works closely with management, executive management, the Quality Improvement Committee and other stakeholders who require clinical data for performance measuring and quality improvement. The position will satisfy all clinical analytical and reporting needs by using various methods and systems to generate the requested data. Uses strong business, technical and analytical skills to review, analyze and occasionally modify systems and reports. Uses effective interpersonal and communication skills to consult with stakeholders to determine their data requirements and produce accurate results. Also completes programming, testing, debugging and validation tasks to support accurate data reporting using methods/systems. Besides fulfilling the data analytical needs of the organization, this position will help develop and maintain medical systems, software applications and databases for physicians, nurses and other users. Additional support includes providing Clinical technical support by answering user questions, troubleshooting reporting and system issues and documenting and escalating user questions/issues to appropriate personnel.
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
- Maintains the currency of professional knowledge through reading and self-development
- Meets criminal background search clearance.
- Meets clinic health requirements to include annual flu vaccination and annual proof of negative TB test.
- Works evenings and weekends as needed; can be available for emergency responses.
- Has personal vehicle for work use; has personal driving record and insurance policy that meet SOS requirements.
- Certifications in Microsoft (MCP), Cisco (CCNA, CCIE), Project Mgmt. (PMP) or Security (preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including advanced formulas and pivot-tables (preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of reporting in a healthcare setting utilizing statistical formulas (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of general Information Technology Analyst experience with at least 2 years with data reporting systems, various data sources, raw data using ODBC and SQL and advanced excel functions
- Analytical and problem-solving skills; able to articulate and convey complex problems into easily understood terms.
- Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications.
- Solid project management skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
- Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high-pressure on-call environment with changing priorities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science / healthcare information system or related field or equivalent experience, training or coursework (required)
