Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and certified Medical Assistant with laboratory experience to join our pediatric team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory tests, including blood draws, urinalysis, and other specimen collections
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Process and document laboratory results, communicating findings to healthcare providers.
- Provide patients with reassurance during the collection process
- Use sterilized needles, vials, and other equipment to draw blood
- Draws blood samples as requested by physician orders
- Maintains a specimen log to ensure all results have been received by the physician in a timely fashion
- Pediatric vaccine administration a must
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Experience in a pediatric or healthcare setting is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
