The position is as-needed / part-time only about 30 hours a month.
Very flexible.
The hours are between 7 am and 7 pm.
The am schedule is 7 am- 12p, the pm schedule would be 12 pm-4 pm.
2 providers only serve dinner at 6p. Need to be able to accommodate these 2 providers every 3 months.
Mode of Transportation required.
BASIC FUNCTIONS
The USDA Monitor reports to the USDA Coordinator. The Monitor enrolls, trains, supports and monitors childcare providers in the requirements of the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program and serves as a link between Places and Programs for Children, Inc., child care providers and the wider community. The Monitor is responsible for assisting the USDA Coordinator in reviewing provider menus to meet USDA guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have familiarity with USDA / CACFP guidelines.

RESPONSIBLITIES Ensures program compliance with Federal and State regulations, rules and policies by :
- Reviewing all homes participating on the Food Program in the assigned area a minimum of three times each year (once during the first four weeks of participating and not more than six months between reviews). One of the reviews must be unannounced and two must be conducted at meal or snack times. A report will be submitted on each home visited by the end of the month.
- Ensure proper sanitation practices are used in participating day care homes.
- Ensure meals are claimed at point of service and menus are planned in advance. Notify Coordinator of unusual situations or Food Program violations.
