Summary
The Program Supervisor for Child Focused Recruitment will provide leadership and program management for the Child-Focused Recruitment Program which works to connect youth in foster care with a permanent family.
Primary Job Functions
- Duties
- Assure that all services within the Child-Focused Recruitment program are delivered in accordance with the agency’s mission, vision, and service philosophy while assuring services are organized and provided in a manner consistent with North Carolina state licensing rules, COA Standards, contract requirements, and all applicable state and federal laws that apply to the program
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the agency’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws. This includes recruiting, direct supervision, workforce development, and retention of employees according to agency policies and procedures
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of the local child welfare system including adoptions
- Model and support varying strategies to complete diligent search activities
- Incorporate knowledge of the impact of trauma on youth and development
- Models development of personal relationships as a guiding strategy to assist Child-Focused Recruiters in preparing youth for their forever family; honoring the past, present, and future
- Build a cohesive team that emulates and honors the individual journey of very youth
- Collaborate with Permanency, Marketing, Business Development and other CHS Departments
- Demonstrate compassion for Child-Focused Recruiters to assist in recognizing vicarious trauma and promotion of self-care
- Incorporate data management in case reviews and progress to ensure implementation of core services
- Possesses a solid understanding of data management and outcome tracking and monitoring
- Provide a 24 hour on call availability to assist direct service staff in crisis situations involving clients
- Complete all monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports to document the function and outcomes of program services
- Assure critical risk incidents are documented, reviewed, and reported to required parties in an accurate and timely manner
- Review quarterly and annual risk management reports and develops and implements corrective action plans as needed
- Participate in the development and review of client satisfaction survey instruments.
- Review all elements of services delivered. Identify service methods / outcomes that require positive reinforcement or corrective action – individually or as a group
- General
- Adhere to Social Work Code of Ethics or to the Code of Ethics appropriate to the applicable licensure/credentialing and comply with professional standards of the Child Welfare League
- Evaluate and approve program expenditures according to agency policy
- Participate in public relations activities
- Ensures data is completed according to agency standards
- Ensure the Child-Focused Recruitment Program is implemented with fidelity
- Contribute to a positive, engaging work environment.
- Display sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
- Demonstrate the CHS Mission, Vision, and Values in the performance of all job duties.
- Develop a strong knowledge base and stay current on job-related issues and trends.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, training, and education, as well as the quality process.
- Comply with CHS’s code of conduct, policies, procedures, and other obligations.
- Perform other duties related to department goals and projects as needed.

Schedule Expectations
This position is a salary exempt job that will require some weekends, and evenings work. Along with working our standard scheduled week. The ability to work flexible hours is required to meet business needs. If working remotely, will be required to be available by telephone and email during specified hours as required. Frequent travel required to conduct business-related activities.
