Job Summary :
The Cook prepares hot and cold food for patients, cafeteria and catering. Position serves and prepares food on cafeteria line.
Job Requirements :
Education : High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience : 1 to 3 years cooking experience in an institutional or healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital setting with special or modified diet preparation experience.
Skills & Abilities : Posses a thorough understanding of all kitchen equipment, its use, safety measures and maintenance. Ability to follow written and oral instructions and adhere to the use of standardized recipes.
Physical Requirements :
Sit : Up to 3 hours / day
Stand / Walk : 6-8 hours
Bend / Stoop : Up to 6 hours
Reach : Up to 6 hours
Rep Use of UE / Grasp : Up to 6 hrs
Lift / Push / Pull : 25lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment
