Job Summary :
The Physical Therapist provides evaluation, planning, and implementation of physical therapy services for patients to facilitate the rehabilitation of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal and neurologic impairments; to restore function, and prevent disability following disease, injury or congenital abnormalities. The person in this position shall provide supervision to physical therapy assistants, aides, interns and students.
Minimum Requirements :
Licensure : Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Physical Therapy Board of California. Current BLS.
Experience : 6-12 months experience preferred. Experience or internship in rehabilitation, pediatrics, and / or acute hospital setting also preferred.
Skills and Abilities : Strong interpersonal skills, time management, problem solving and self-initiation skills. Concise and effective communication
Physical Requirements :
Sit : Up to 6 hours / day
Stand / Walk : Up to 6 hours
Bend / Stoop : Up to 3 hours
Reach : Up to 6 hours
Rep Use of UE / Grasp : Up to 6 hrs
Lift / Push / Pull : 25lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment
