What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN II - Acute Care Float Pool position at Childrens Hospital and Research Center?
Job Summary :
The staff RN is a professional caregiver who follows the framework of primary nursing and assumes responsibility and accountability for the care and teaching of groups of patients / families for a designated time frame. The staff RN directs and provides care to these patients utilizing therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment / instrumentation and other team members.
Job Requirements :
Licensure / Certification : Current California RN license. Current CPR card required.
Experience : One year recent acute care pediatric experience within the immediately preceding 5 years.
Physical Requirements :
Sit : Up to 3 hours / day
Stand / Walk : 6-8 hours
Bend / Stoop : Up to 3 hours
Reach : Up to 6 hours
Rep use of UE / Grasp : Up to 6 hours
Lift / Push / Pull : 40lbs. or over 40# with assistance lbs. with assistance or equipment
Ability to comply with infection control and other safety policies.
