Job Overview
This position is responsible for full performance complex work providing enterprise level system content design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. Duties include collaborating with technical team, manager, subject matter experts, customers and project managers to develop system and technology requirements to meet organizational and end user needs. Provides recommendations regarding configuration, design, usability and maintainability of data marts, sources, virtual data warehouse and other dependencies that integrate with system platforms. This position may perform lead work over lower level staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Designs, implements, and maintains the organization's data assets and ARC infrastructure. Provides an architectural framework for database system development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts.
Ensure the evolution of the organization’s architecture is aligned with changing business requirements, emerging technologies, and industry’s standards and best practices.
Establishes, guides and monitors architectural approaches and technical solutions for clinical requests and desired functionality. Provides complex architecture options and makes recommendations to meet project objectives.
Partners with physicians, nurses, pharmacists and laboratory experts along with developers, engineers, and analysts (when appropriate) to create technology road maps and align development plans to ensure effective integration among information systems and the IT/ARC infrastructure.
Collaborates with user groups to solve complex clinical problems with technology including hardware, software, databases, medical devices and peripherals. Partners with project managers and business analysts to validate project-specific functional and technical requirements and on issue resolution and change control.
Designs complex solutions according to specifications, clinical needs and organizational guidelines and standards. Reviews designs from other technologists to maintain reliability and promote reuse.
Recommends, documents and maintains standards for clinical content, IT systems and IT services provided by the team.
Communicates architecture and design details to team members, senior management and stakeholders.
Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical issues related to architecture, performance, and tools. Communicates issues and perceived risks. Collaborates with infrastructure engineers and other staff to analyze, address and eliminate performance problems.
Develops design techniques, standards, and best practices for the organization. Creates and recommends standards for associated peripheral technologies and IT processes in support of application platforms. Establishes and documents standards according to industry best practices and methodologies. Adapts standards to new and changing methodologies and changing technology platforms.
May lead complex projects and ensures the success of enterprise-level system rollouts.
Analyzes systems and performs testing to ensure performance and reliability, enhance scalability, and meet security requirements.
Monitors technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards and emerging business requirements.
Supports project initiatives by reviewing designs and estimates to validate implementation projections, scope and deliverables. Proactively communicates issues or perceived risks to the project.
Supports outreach, education and communication of standards under the organization governance and quality initiative.
Creates, maintains, assists and/or mentors with departmental documentation.

Qualifications
EDUCATION – Bachelor's degree is required.
EXPERIENCE – Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience is required.
EQUIVALENCY – Combination of post-high school education, job related certification and/or related experience equivalent to twelve (12) years may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.

Salary Information
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $109,446.55 to $164,169.82
Hourly Salary Range: $52.62 to $78.93
