Department: Colorado Fetal Care Center
Hours per week: 32, eligible for benefits
Shift: 4, 8 hour days M-F 0730-1600. One day a week at CHCO North Campus. Rotating on-call requirements on weekends.
Job Overview
Performs obstetric ultrasound exams on high-risk obstetric patients in the Colorado Fetal Care Center and the Maternal Fetal Unit.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.
Performs abdominal and transvaginal OB/GYN ultrasounds
Assists with procedures related to obstetric and fetal care. Including but not limited to amniocentesis and chronic villi sampling
Assists in fetal surgery.
Provides patient education in the form or written material and/or verbal explanation.
Produces examinations that meet image quality standards in accordance to department protocols.
Verifies accuracy of patient demographics, clinical diagnosis and technical results. Report must be entered accurately and timely.
Verifies all technical data entry components are complete
Monitors stock of supplies in imagining rooms.
Competent in all aspects of RIS and PACs as it pertains to modality specific function and use.
Demonstrates ability to operate equipment properly to include any adjunct equipment that is required
Demonstrates ability to work with all MFM and Fetal Cardiology sonographers to assist in other ultrasound scanning as required; train other sonographers to become competent in maternal/fetal imaging.
Promotes high quality patient care through the use of effective communication that explains the exam and ensures patient comfort and safety.

Competent in all aspects of RIS and PACS as it pertains to modality specific function and use.
SCOPE & LEVEL
Guidelines: Fully qualified, full performance or journey level. Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program
Experience: 3 years of experience as a sonographer, preferred OB or MFM experience
Certification(s): BLS through the American Heart Association
Licensure(s): ): OB/GYN Sonographer by ARDMS

Salary Information
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $77,765.24 to $116,647.87
Hourly Salary Range: $37.39 to $56.08
