Department: Occupational Health Services
Hours per week: 36, eligible for benefits
Shift: 4 nine hours shifts per week (0500-1530), rotating weekends. Weekend shifts 0700-1930.
Job Overview
Provide occupational health nursing care for ill/injured employees. Recommend placement of employees in jobs compatible with their health and safety. Assist Children’s Health Corporation and its entities in regulatory agency compliance. Assist in enhancement and conservation of employee’s health through nursing care.
This is a remote position, working on the Sick Line phone queue. Job requires triaging ill calls, setting up COVID testing, calling COVID results, and performing contact tracing.

Coordinate disability management for non-occupational and occupational illnesses/injuries to ensure health and safety of employees, maximize productivity and reduce costs
Maintain a confidential, complete and accurate system of employee medical records to provide information for job placements, medical surveillance, health maintenance and workers’ compensation claims
Promote wellness among employees through educating, counseling and providing resource information
Provides nursing care, using established protocols/pharmaceutical standing orders to place and maintain employees in a safe and healthy work environment

SCOPE/ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITY
Contacts: Most often externally with patients and families, involves coordination with other departments; exchanges require explanation & interpretation and involves matters possibly sensitive in nature.
Financial Accountability: Responsible for personal use of resources, supplies and materials, tracking personal spending and submitting accurate expense reports.
Judgment: Sets priorities for own work within overall guidelines; manages own workflow in cooperation with others.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. One year of previous occupational health nursing experience.
Preferred Education - Bachelors
Preferred License/Certification - COHN Certified Occupational Health

Salary Information
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $67,176.54 to $100,764.81
Hourly Salary Range: $32.30 to $48.44
