Hours per week: 40 hrs., eligible for benefits

Shift: 8am-4:30pm Monday - Friday

Job Overview

The Registrar maintains department specific registries and databases (e.g cancer registry, or trauma registry).  The Registrar collects, enters, analyzes and reports database information.

The successful candidate will have experience in tumor registry cases to the State of Colorado.  Preferred candidate will be certified or will be able to sit for certification within 6 months post employment

Essential Functions

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.

Organizes and enters data into registry database(s) into the Trauma registry.

Reviews, analyzes, and reports on relevant data.

Ensures compliance with local, state, federal and organization requirements.

Performs on-going quality assurance and data validation assessments to ensure accuracy of data and to meet regulatory compliance and accreditation standards.

Participates and assists with quality improvement studies.

Generates reports and communicates findings.

Ensures regulatory reporting requirements are met.

SCOPE AND LEVEL

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Under normal supervision, within a standardized work situation, the employee performs duties common to the line of work without close supervision or detailed instruction.  Work product is subject to continual review.

Qualifications

EDUCATION – High School Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE – Two years of medical coding or relevant experience.

EQUIVALENCY – An Associate or higher degree, in a related field, may substitute for the experience requirements on a year for year basis.

Salary Information

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $49,641.49 to $74,462.23

Hourly Salary Range: $23.87 to $35.80
