What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Security Officer position at Childrens Hospital of Birmingham?
The Lead Security Officer assists the Security Supervisor by supervising daily operation of their assigned shift in the absence of the Security Supervisor. Provides necessary assistance as requested by the Security Supervisor. In addition to these duties the Lead Security Officer will perform a variety of security and safety related functions while involved in the safeguarding of employees, patients, visitors, physicians, and property.
- Education
- Must complete CPI or some type of deescalation training within the first six months in this position.
- Experience
- One year hospital experience or two years security experience required.
- Licensures, Certifications, and / or Registries
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Three years in a public contact role required.
Valid Pistol Permit and must qualify with your weapon using APOST certification within 180 days of employment.
