What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telemetry Tech CVICU position at Childrens Hospital of Birmingham?
Under general supervision, performs cardiac monitoring duties for patients connected to the central telemetry monitoring system. This position provides continuous patient monitoring at the central monitoring station (CMS). Recognizes all life-threatening patterns and arrhythmias and reports these to nurse and or physician in an accurate and timely manner. Correctly connects patients to monitor system and assists in emergency and life threatening situations. Maintains accurate log of all rhythms and heart rate changes on the notification sheets.

This classification requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
EKG monitor tech experience is desired.
Score of 85% on the post basic dysrhythmia exam is required.
