What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unit Support Specialist CVICU position at Childrens Hospital of Birmingham?
Works under the supervision of RNs and LPNs to provide assistive care, clerical support, and communication for patients, team members, professional and technical staff, and visitors.
- Education
- One year of clerical experience required and familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
- Candidate must have at least one of the following :
- Enrolled in a medical related college programs and in clinical rotation
- CNA, CMA, PCT or EMT certification
- Experience
- Licensures, Certifications, and / or Registries
High school diploma or equivalent.
Six months of patient care experience within the last two years
Internal candidates who have completed all required competencies and are fully trained will also be considered.
Current BLS certification required.
