Apply now to see where your career at CHOC can take you.Job SummaryThe Assistant Director is responsible for composing special gift acknowledgment letters, donor impact reports, scripting, endowment reporting and other writing that illustrates the impact of philanthropy at CHOC Children's. Research, develop, edit, format, and shepherdcontent utilizing consistent institutional messaging, effective strategy and appropriate themes, while maintaining the highest standards inquality and accuracy. The incumbent will serve as principal editor called upon to provide writing and editorial services in the department.Pay RangeMinimum $53,955 Midpoint $80,912 Maximum $107,890Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.Experience* Required: Minimum three (3) years of writing experience.* Preferred: Three (3) - five (5) years experience in writing reports.Education* Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field.* Preferred: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or relevant combination of education and experience.Training* Required: None required.Specialized Skills* Required: Superior written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, ability to conduct situational donor research and extract meaningful content for acknowledgement letters; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
