This role plays a crucial part in ensuring accurate financial management, budget oversight, and billing processes for our clinical trials. The Clinical Research Budget & Billing Analyst will report to the Manager Research Programs, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the assigned Division Health Sciences Administration Manager. Together, this structure will ensure a cohesive financial management strategy within the Research Institute. Vision & Growth This position is a pilot role within the Research Institute, designed to establish a structured financial infrastructure that supports the expanding landscape of clinical trials and research finance. The selected candidate will contribute to building a sustainable framework for managing research finances, paving the way for future financial leadership in clinical research operations. While prior experience in all areas is not required, we are looking for a candidate with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Comprehensive training will be provided, with the expectation that the candidate will develop expertise within the first year. Key Responsibilities Analyze and manage clinical trial budgets to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. Track billing processes and coordinate with relevant departments to maintain proper financial documentation. Work collaboratively with investigators, research coordinators, finance teams, and administrators to streamline financial operations. Support the integration of financial management across pre-award, post-award, and research billing processes.ExperienceRequired: Minimum one (1) years of experience in sponsored grants and contracts administration, preferably at a university or nonprofit research institution.EducationRequired: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college or equivalent experience.Specialized SkillsRequired: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills. Excellent analytical and organization skills; excellent critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.
