Apply now to see where your career at CHOC can take you.Job SummaryThe Neurodiagnostic Technologist PD is responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic studies on infants and children' which include monitoring equipment calibration and set-up. Technologists process documentation in order to provide accurate information to the physician.Pay RangeMinimum $38.00 Midpoint $38.00 Maximum $39.00Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.Experience * Required: Minimum three months of direct patient care experience.* Preferred: One year of pediatric experience.Education* Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent with completion or enrollment of Neurodiagnostic program or experience in an EEG Laboratory.* Preferred: Associate degree and completion of an accredited neurodiagnostic program.Special Skills* Required: Able work in a team environment with the patience and understanding to work with the pediatric population. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.* Preferred: Bilingual – English/Spanish.Licensure* Required: Basic Life Support; Registered EEG Technologist.Work Environments - Functional Demand:Medium - High energy level Lift and carry 40-50 lbs.
