Apply now to see where your career at CHOC can take you.Job SummaryThe Post Doctoral Fellow for all levels possesses, understands, and applies a comprehensive knowledge in area of specialization. Develops understanding and skills to allow for completion of assignments that cross fields of specialization. Develops leadership and management skills. The Pediatric Neurosurgery Research Fellow will work closely with the neurosurgeons and researchers to conduct high-impact research aimed at improving patient outcomes, surgical techniques, and our understanding of neurological disorders. This is a clinical research (not a laboratory-based) position, with a focus on study design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation, as well as the dissemination of findings through publications and presentations. The ideal candidate is someone with a medical degree, with plans to pursue a neurosurgical residency in 2-3 years. This is a minimum two-year position with the possibility of extension to a 3rd year.Pay RangeMinimum $31.85 Midpoint $42.21 Maximum $52.55Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.Experience: Required : NonePreferred: Year 2 = 12-23 Months experience for Level II, Year 3 = 24-35 Months experience for Level III, Year 4 = 36-47 Months experience for Level IV, Year 5 = 60-71 Months experience for Level VEducation: Required: Doctorate DegreeSpecialized Skills: Required: Able to think critically; work independently; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.
