GENERAL SUMMARY
The Customer Ambassador drives a hospitality environment by greeting guests, offering samples, assisting with self-checkout, touching tables, and leading guest-facing marketing and wellness programs. This position represents the organization and promotes products / services to potential customers. Reports to department leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greets internal and external customers and interacts in a manner to ensure a high level of hospitality.
- Greets all team members and ensures they have what they need to be successful each day.
- Seeks guidance from department leadership as needed.
- Relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors in accordance with departmental protocol and / or policy.
- Ensures that all marketing, wellness, and culinary programs are current and in place.
- Leads weekly promotions and programs for guests.
- Works collaboratively with team members. Shares best practices and recognizes co-workers.
- Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers.
- Serves as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying / decision-making process.
- Ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards.
- Serves food neatly and attractively per standards.
- Ensures a clean and sanitary dining environment. Assist with cleaning surfaces and restocking as needed.
- Provides Service Recovery as needed.
- Conducts work onsite at an assigned CHKD location.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND / OR CERTIFICATIONS
Current Food Handler Certification required at time of hire.
None required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
One year of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Able to represent the organization in a positive manner, exercise independent judgment, professionalism, and discretion.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Noisy and distracting kitchen / food service environment with regular exposure to cold and hot temperatures, such as working near ovens or retrieving food from freezers. Often exposed to hazardous situations and conditions that can produce cuts or minor burns.
