- GENERAL SUMMARY
- The Rehab Aide is responsible for assisting with specific treatment programs and non-clinical duties under the direction and supervision of a licensed / certified therapist / pathologist to facilitate patient’s attainment of maximum potential.
Reports to department leadership.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs and assists with specific clinical treatment / rehabilitation programs / modalities under direction / supervision of licensed therapist / pathologist.
- Performs and assists with specific clerical duties and projects.
- Maintains security and confidentiality of information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- LICENSES AND / OR CERTIFICATIONS
- None required.
- MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assist with meeting the therapy / rehabilitation needs of children with disabilities.
- Requires ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing with the treatment team and patient.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, standards and techniques for therapy / rehabilitation modalities and equipment preferred.
- WORKING CONDITIONS
- Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures.
