What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - Radiology Sedation Infusion Nurse position at Childrens Hospital of The King's Daughters?
Performs a wide variety of patient care activities, accommodative services, and administrative functions to support the medical care of patients and families.
- Plans, provides, and monitors specific patient needs following established policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Participates in on-going quality assurance, maintains regulatory requirements, and assists in establishing and updating applicable policies and procedures.
- Provides support to orientation and training of staff.
- Demonstrates excellence in nursing practice characterized by quality patient care and participation in formal and informal patient, family, and staff education.
- Demonstrates effective use of time and resources.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- LICENSES AND / OR CERTIFICATIONS
- RN specialty certification preferred (CPN, CCRN etc).
- CPR Training required and / or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
- PEARS training required within 90 days of employment.
- PALS training required within 6 months of hire.
- Nurses who assist with cardiac procedures are required to obtain ACLS training within 12 months of hire.
- MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Pediatric experience preferred.

Current State license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license.
Must have an Associates in Nursing / Diploma in Nursing with applicable experience. BSN is preferred.
Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures. Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
