POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Web Developer provides an exceptional digital experience to users and donors by designing, enhancing, and consistently maintaining CHF's website and the donor platform to grow marketing opportunities and drive donor support and volunteer engagement. The Web Developer will collaborate closely with the marketing team to offer effective web platforms and solutions that reflect CHFs commitment to excellence and gospel-centered mercy ministry. This role primarily supports digital marketing campaigns, enhances CHFs online presence, and supports overall marketing strategies. They will also contribute to Marketing and Information Technology projects that impact the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design and/or ensure seamless, mobile-first user experiences with intuitive navigation, impactful visuals, and optimized performance with fast load times, high capacity, and smooth transactions
- Deliver dynamic user experiences, impactful imagery, smooth processes and transactions, and intuitive navigation
- Manage and code donation platform (Classy) for website implementation
- Balance front-end design with back-end technical optimization
- Create responsive web pages using HTML, CSS
- Create UX/UI design and implement design concepts.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
- Optimize website performance for speed and efficiency
- Troubleshoot web issues, crashers, or user experience challenges
- Ensure website accessibility for all users
- Implement and maintain content management systems
- Test and validate web forms and interactive elements
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end and back-end systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization or vendors to discuss the needs, design, and functionality of a website or interface.
- Design and develop graphics consistent with CHF standards.
- Work with other team members to determine what information the site will contain.
- Integrate multimedia, including audio and video, into the website.
- Build, design, and maintain all websites and software applications.
- Design and edit website content.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
- Conduct website research to track how users are interacting with the website, determining what is helpful or not.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to identify pain points and areas for improvement.
- Iterate on designs and features based on user feedback to enhance overall user satisfaction.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices.

Work Environment:
- Primarily: office; Occasionally: warehouse
Physical Demands:
- Constantly exchange accurate information whether verbally or in writing
- Constantly operate a computer and other office machinery such as telephone or printer
- Frequently work seated at a desk and for long periods of time
- Frequently move around inside the office to access files cabinets, attend meetings, utilize office machinery
- Occasionally lift up to 35 lbs. but less than 50 lbs.
- Occasionally set up and break down a display booth
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
- Confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; active member of a gospel-centered, Christian local church; demonstrates ongoing growth in Christian maturity.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science and/or other related certification or equivalent knowledge and job experience.
- 2-5 years in professional web development and/or related computer/web experience.
- Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite CC with proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; familiarity with Adobe XD, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (for Mac and/or PC) is a plus.
- Experience with digital design and development for social media, email marketing, and website creation.
- Additional experience with photo editing/coloring, a Digital Asset Management (DAM) tool, or project management system (Wrike) is a plus.
- Creative, detail-minded self-starter with a strong, clean visual design sense.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly and effectively communicate and collaborate on cross-functional teams and offer creative and effective solutions.
- Knowledge of programming languages with solution-oriented programming skills.
- Understand search engine optimization (SEO) practices.
- Project management certification and experience helpful.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize web pages for security and responsiveness.
- Understanding of network diagnostics and analytical tools.
- Knowledge of Word press development.
- Able to receive and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to quickly learn new software applications.
