• Performs documentation analytics
• Coordinates data pull and data integrity by creating reports and reviewing regulatory data pulls and audits. Works with IS to achieve best data pull options.
• Codes outpatient, same day surgery, inpatient, emergency and urgent care accounts in accordance with the rules, regulations, and coding conventions of ICD--CM and CPT official and other established guidelines. Identifies CCI edits on review of HCPCS Level II. Abstract patient data into the hospital's system. Obtain task queue daily and monitor and manage backlog
• Develop and maintain querey templates
• Code outpatient and inpatient patient types

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years experience or
• HS diploma or equivalent and 7 or more years experience Pediatric coding utilizing ICD and CPT codes. Record review and reporting. CDI. May be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• One of the following: Registered Health Information Technician, Registered Health Information Administrator, Certified Professional Coder, Certified Coding Associate, Certified Compliance Professional, Certified Coding Specialist, Certified Outpatient Coder, Certified Inpatient Coder required upon hire
• CCA or CCS or CCP or CPC or COC or CIC or RHIT or RHIA Required Upon Hire

The pay range for this job begins at $26.80/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
