Overview
The Informatics Nurse Applications Analyst serves as the technical and clinical Health Informatics subject matter expert for the clinical applications. The Nurse Applications Analyst supports the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of Children's Mercy and Information Technology. The Nurse Applications Analyst manages projects and programs in the nursing area they are assigned and assists with more complex projects. They maintain and provide technical support for assigned clinical applications. The analyst is a liaison to the nursing care delivery teams and develops, implements, and effectively uses clinical technologies to enhance patient care. They collaborate to positively impact patient safety and care quality.

Responsibilities
- Application and Technology Management
- Serves as a Health Informatics resource for clinical departments
- Project and Program Management
- Integrates nursing science, computer science, and information science to improve clinical systems for patient care safety, quality, efficacy, and efficiency.
- Bachelor's Degree BSN Required and 3-5 years experience Clinical experience, health informatics, Information Systems, or Information Technology experience
- One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
- One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
- RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
- At least one application-specific Epic certification relevant to the department (determined by role leadership) Required within 120 days of hire. Must complete Epic certification training if not already Epic certified in the most recent version of the Epic EHR product. Tracked by department leadership. Required
- ANCC Board Certification - Informatics Nursing Preferred
