Overview
The Physician Recruiter plans, coordinates, implements, and directs all activities for the recruitment of physicians for Children's Mercy Hospitals & Clinics. This position advises and collaborates with Hospital, Clinic and Departmental Administrative Management, Section Chiefs, and Department Chairs with regard to physician recruitment.

Responsibilities
- Advise and strategize with Director of Medical Administration, Department Heads, Section Chiefs, Clinic Managers, and Administrative Directors regarding recruitment and candidate interview processes for physicians.
- Develop, plan, implement and manage all methods to generate candidates, including national/local/Internet advertising, direct mail, resident-related events and activities, marketing and promotional materials, and website development and maintenance. Maintain up-to-date lists of approved positions and status of candidates.
- Manage all aspects of physician recruitment. This includes screening and responding to candidate inquiries; contacting and discussing opportunities, candidate qualifications and best clinic/practice match; presenting candidate to Department Head/clinic/department for employment consideration; overseeing preparation of itinerary and interview site visit(s) processes; and following up with candidate/department to determine continued interest.
- Bachelor's Degree Related field or related healthcare background and 5-7 years experience or
- HS diploma or equivalent and 7 or more years experience prior work experience in the same job may be accepted in lieu of a degree
