Overview
The Surgical Technician II functions as a member of the patient care team, under the direction and supervision of the physician and/or registered nurse. This position provides technical skills in the role of the surgical scrub before, during and after operative procedures, by anticipating needs, preparing, organizing and troubleshooting equipment, instruments, and supplies as required for various surgical procedures. Assists the physician(s) and nursing staff to provide optimal patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, utilizing resources efficiently, communicating effectively, and is proficient in scrubbing Level 6 procedures and below.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competency as a Surgical Technologist
- Demonstrates the knowledge of risk and safety issues and uses measures to ensure optimal outcomes
- Demonstrates actions that exhibit accountability and professional judgement
- Associate's Degree Preferred graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- HS diploma or equivalent Required and 3-5 years experience Surgical Technologist experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required Upon Hire
