- The clinician is a professional nurse who is an expert in the care of a specified patient population/subspecialty area. The clinician assumes a leadership role and supervisory responsibilities in the development, organization, and implementation of care services for the specified patient population.
- Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Experience
- At least four years of recent clinical nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics, preferably in outpatient setting
- Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
- Current RN License in the State of Alabama
- Current BLS certificate required, BLS Instructor preferred
- National Certification preferred
Additional Information
Includes the services of nine (9) Board Certified Neurologists, six (6) Board Certified Epileptologists and three (3) Board Certified Nurse Practitioners. Services cover a variety of neurological diseases and conditions including but not limited to Seizures, Headache, Movement disorders, Neurogenetic disorders, Neuromuscular diseases and Demyelinating diseases. Academic Fellows, Residents and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners also provide care in this area, under the supervision of the attending MD. Basic referral information is required for new/Consult patients and information may be requested prior to arrival for appointment related to the symptoms, prior history, tests and procedures performed.
