- Job Summary
- Main responsibility is in performing audits and reviewing work to maintain the quality for transfusion services. Responsible for assisting the supervisor in planning and organizing the operational aspects for the section as required
- Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Biological Science- At least 6 years experience in immunohematology of which, 4 years training or experience, or both in high complexity testing as a medical technologist required.
- For Biological Science degreed applicants, must confirm registry eligibility before applying or have already registered as a Medical Technologist by certification examination.
Completion of a twelve (12) month internship in a Medical Technology program approved by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).
1-2 year(s) supervisory experience preferred
Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) Certificate preferred
OR
Master's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Biological Science: At least 3 years of pertinent clinical laboratory experience in immunohematology, of which, 2 years training or experience, or both in high complexity testing as a medical technologist required.
Completion of a twelve (12) month internship in a Medical Technology program approved by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).
1-2 year(s) supervisory experience preferred.
Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) Certificate preferred
