Staff Psychologist Position
The Staff Psychologist position is housed within the state-of-the-art outpatient rehabilitation facility at Children's Specialized Hospital (CSH) in Union, New Jersey.
The primary role of this position is to address the biopsychosocial needs of children, adolescents, and young adults admitted with a variety of diagnoses and developmental histories.
About the Role
- Provide diagnostic interviews and psychological testing for pediatric patients and their families.
- Offer psychotherapeutic support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with clinical teams, including Autism Teams and Feeding Teams as needed.
Requirements
- PhD, PsyD, or EdD degree in psychology.
- NJ Psychology license.
- Experience working with children and teens on the Autism spectrum.
- 1 year of experience working with children and/or adolescents.
- Ability to relate therapeutically with professional teams, children, adolescents, and their parents/significant others.
Responsibilities
- Identify realistic goals for intervention and deliver ongoing behavioral medicine intervention based on patient development.
- Support clinical staff through consultation and treatment sessions.
- Provide in-services and educational trainings to staff and community agencies as requested by Supervisor.
- Disseminate findings accurately and sensitively according to Department policy.
- Provide supervision to staff, fellows, interns, externs as indicated.
