The Children's Workshop is a nonprofit organization that operates 6 early learning schools in Rhode Island with a mission to spark confidence, joy and the love of learning in each child. In anticipation of future program growth, we're looking to expand our leadership team. We invite passionate early education professions to grow their career at The Children's Workshop and join us in the role of Assistant School Director.
In this role, you will work with a seasoned School Director to provide daily administrative and operational support while nurturing a positive school environment and caring community for students, teachers and families. Job responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that all aspects of school operations and activities are aligned with licensing requirements and company policies with a particular focus on safety for all.
- Building kind, caring and productive relationships with teachers and families for the benefit of all children.
- Completing daily recordkeeping related to student attendance, tuition billing, and food service.
- Reviewing and reconciling daily food counts for accuracy to ensure maximize revenue to the school.
- Assisting new families with the child enrollment process and maintaining student records.
- Assisting School Director with managing classroom requests and coverage.
- Participate in activities related to special projects, new initiatives, and fundraising events as needed.
This is a full time position working Monday through Friday. The person hired for this position will be based at our Central Falls school, but may be assigned to work at our other school locations in the future.

Our ideal candidate will have some experience in childcare or early learning and thrive in a dynamic environment with changing daily priorities. Must be highly organized with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with others. Microsoft Office experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Bilingual (English-Spanish) is a plus.
Salary : $17 - $19
