Summary
The Lead Teacher will accept the philosophy of The Children’s Workshop and will work as part of the teaching team to provide a safe and developmentally appropriate program in accordance with all relevant company and state regulations, policies and procedures.
Requirements
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skills required.
Education/Experience:
- Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Special Education preferred
- Applicable state certification
Rhode Island: RIELS or RIELDS certificate relevant to the position in accordance with BrightStars Standards
Massachusetts: Must hold Department of Early Education and Care teacher certification in applicable age group, lead teacher certification preferred
- 3 months of supervised experience with an ECE degree OR 3 years of supervised experience without an ECE degree
