Location: Warren School (initially), transitioning to Providence School (upon the return of the Lead Teacher in Warren)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Teacher to join our team at Warren School with the opportunity to transition to Providence School once the lead teacher in Warren returns. This position involves providing high-quality education, supervision, and support to students while ensuring their safety and well-being. The Teacher will be responsible for delivering the curriculum, engaging with students, conducting child observations, and maintaining effective communication with both parents and staff.
Requirements
Safety & Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of students throughout the school day. Supervise students in the classroom, on school grounds, and during transitions.
- Curriculum Implementation: Follow the provided curriculum and lesson plans, adjusting as needed to meet students’ learning needs. Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that supports students’ academic growth.
- Teaching & Instruction: Deliver lessons in accordance with the curriculum, using a variety of teaching methods to engage students and support their learning styles.
- Child Observation: Observe and record student behavior, academic progress, and social interactions. Provide feedback on student development and collaborate with the lead teacher to track progress.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a productive and respectful classroom environment. Implement strategies for managing student behavior effectively.
- Transitioning Between Schools: Initially, work at Warren School until the lead teacher returns, then transition seamlessly to Providence School to continue supporting student learning and growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Teaching certification or willing to obtain Teaching Certificate..
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and student needs.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere.
