What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUMMER ONLY - Respite Support Professional (PRN-Flexible Hours) position at ChildServe?
SUMMER ONLY
Schedule: Varied schedule working days, evenings and weekends.
Up to $15/hr. Do you want to get paid to have fun? If so, ChildServe Respite has a job for you! Provide personal care and supervision for children with special health care needs in group and individual settings. Services are provided in home and community settings.
What You’ll Do
- Have fun with kids while their regular caregivers get a break.
- Be creative while engaging children in activities.
- Provided 1:1 care in the child’s home or in the community. Group services provided at the Johnston Respite Center or a community location.
- Receive ongoing training and supervision.
- Great resume builder for those interested in social work, education, therapy, psychology, and nursing.
What You'll Need
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
- Must be willing to provide transportation as a ChildServe authorized driver. This includes passing a Motor Vehicle Check and car safety check.
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
- This position may be subject to COVID-19 safety requirements. If applicable, specific requirements will be discussed during the interview process.
