Position Summary
Assistant Teacher.
Program: ECEAP.
Location: Everett.
Schedule: 0.8 FTE.
Salary: $22/hr - $25/hr.
The Assistant Teacher will function as a member of the ECEAP team, and is responsible for the care and education of children aged 3-4, under the direction of a Lead Teacher. The Assistant Teacher implements program activities to reflect early childhood development needs, as well as the rich and diverse heritages of students and their families.

Early Support for Infants and Toddlers serves families with children birth to three years of age who have a developmental delay or identified disability;
Nurse Family Partnershipserves first time pregnant women through pregnancy and until their child turns two years of age;
Parents as Teachersserves families who are pregnant or have a young child who are living with trauma or chronic hardships, including housing instability or poverty.
Community Outreach serves families with preschoolers who are homeless and living in shelters or who are isolated and lack support. The Outreach program also partners with the Tulalip Tribes and provides consultation services to childcare providers serving families in transitional housing.
ECEAP (Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program) is a high quality preschool and family development program for underserved families in partnership with Snohomish County and the State of Washington.

Required Qualifications
- An Associate or higher degree, with the equivalent of 12 college quarter credits in Early Childhood Education either included in the degree, or in addition to the degree;
- Initial or higher Washington State Early Education Certificate;
- A current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential awarded by the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition.
- Skilled in communicating in spoken and written English, with the ability to read and process online data in English.
- Preference is given to native speakers of Spanish.
- Computer skills, including use of the Microsoft Suite.
- Must be able to pass a State background check, and be approved to work around children.
- In addition to having good teaching and relationship-building skills, the best candidates will demonstrate motivation, compassion, reliability, and adaptability.
