Lead Direct Support Professional - 50's House (2nd shift)
Chileda's mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with cognitive and behavior challenges. Chileda's goal is to help students increase their appropriate social behaviors and develop independent living skills, through an enriched learning environment and individualized behavior programming. We are now accepting applications for a Lead Direct Support Professional.
Summary:
LDSP's provide DSP's with assistance in performing their job duties by training and coaching, developing and maintaining relationships, and evaluating performance. LDSP's are responsible for ensuring programming is being implemented at all times by DSP's. LDSP's will perform all job duties of the DSP's in addition to their regular job duties.
Status Info:
Full time and Part Time positions are available and FT roles come with Chileda's generous benefits plan.
Skills: Ability to lead a diverse group of employees, as well as the ability to give feedback, guidance and make decisions, is required.
Job Duties Include:
- Training DSPs on behavior programs as well as policies and procedures.
- Provide positive feedback to supervised employees on a daily basis.
- Positively promote and implement changes introduced by Residential Team and Core Teams.
- All assigned duties of Direct Support Professionals.
- Starting at $21.00 per hour
Education Requirements: Must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalency. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
