Business Intelligence Engineer Intern

Chime is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer Intern to join our BI team. You will gain valuable professional experience working with cutting edge cloud technology platforms and distributed systems alongside engineers with a wealth of experience to share. You will assist with creating Looker dashboards for stakeholders, auditing and cleaning-up our Looker instance, and help create documentation on best practices for our tools. This is an exciting opportunity to learn while playing a role in a critical initiative at Chime. This role is structured as a 3 month engagement. The starting hourly rate offered for this role and target level of experience will begin at $34 and up to $49. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience. In this role, you can expect to Monitor and improve Looker performance and costs. Assist with BI projects from start to finish (i.E requirement gathering, data modeling, dashboard development, administration and maintenance). Influence change by not only creating insights through visualizations, but also presenting your recommendations to a variety of levels. Collaborate with business stakeholders across Chime to align reporting and visualizations to business needs, with Data Engineers to optimize our data, and within Analytics to generate ideas and create consistency. Document metrics definitions, processes, access controls, best practices and custom dashboard features. To thrive in this role, you.. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or related field Any past experience in using business intelligence and visualizations tools such as Amplitude, Looker, Tableau would be a bonus Great documentation and training skills. Have a fundamental understanding of data infrastructure. Ability to work collaboratively with the internal team Proficient in SQL.
