About the role
We are hiring for a Director of Product Communications on our Communications and Corporate Affairs team. As a senior leader on the Communications team, you will be responsible for developing a comprehensive product communications strategy that enhances Chime's consumer, corporate, and engineering brands; supports our business goals; and advances our position as an innovative technology leader in the fintech industry. This role will focus on telling the story of how our products and technology works to consumers, policymakers, and investors.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $168,570 and up to $238,900. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
- Develop strategic communications campaigns : Develop and implement a comprehensive product communications strategy that supports key business goals and enhances the company's reputation.
- Be a media relations expert : Build and maintain strong relationships with business, tech, and trade media outlets
- Collaborate cross functionally : Work closely with product management, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure consistent, clear, and compelling messaging across campaigns and channels.
- Own the story : Oversee all aspects of product launch communication plans, including media relations, internal communications, and writing of press-facing materials such as press releases, blog posts, product demos, and case studies.
- Measure effectiveness : Use first and third party data to measure the success of communication strategies and adjust accordingly to improve engagement and impact.
- Serve as a team leader : Serve as a leader on the Communications team and across the broader company, bringing best-practices to the function and mentoring junior employees to grow the overall capacity of the organization.
