Job Summary
Chimera is seeking a mid-level Senior Communicator. This position will provide strategic Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support to DTRA’s Building Partner Capacity (BP) Department to strengthen allies and partners capacity to Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD). This position is located at Fort Belvoir, VA and requires Secret clearance.

Chimera is seeking a mid-level Senior Communicator. This position will provide strategic Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support to DTRA’s Building Partner Capacity (BP) Department to strengthen allies and partners capacity to Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD). This position is located at Fort Belvoir, VA and requires Secret clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Personnel supporting communication support shall have at least ten (5) years of experience reviewing and analyzing national, Federal, DoD, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS), CCMD, or other US negotiated bilateral or multilateral organizations’ documents such as studies, reports, and briefings. The Contractor shall provide communications support that must, at a minimum, conduct the following activities at the OB-BP level:
- Provide senior executive level administrative support to include supporting the completion of various administrative tasks, writing/editing, tracking, and quality control of various products
- Develop talking points, information papers, and presentations supporting assigned projects
- Serve as the focal point to support trip planning, coordination, and implementation of engagements for OB Front Office leadership
- Maintain oversight of OB Front Office meetings and travel plans and coordinate with the appropriate office(s) (internal and external to the Agency) on purpose, talking points, and other relevant information
- Provide senior executive level quality control of all actions/ correspondence being processed though the OB Front Office
- Coordinate and/or participate in Directorate events, meetings, and working groups and submit executive level meeting minutes as required
- Maintains oversight of the Administrative Support Duties and has the capability to perform those duties as needed or in their absence
- Must have a minimum of ten (5) years of experience reviewing and analyzing Federal, DoD. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS), Combatant Commands, state and federal negotiated bilateral and multinational organizations documents such as studies, reports, briefings, and provide guidance to leadership
- Experience developing short and long-term goals and conducting strategic communication for Command level organizations
- Experience developing General Officer level command organizational vision, goals, and objectives
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the DTRAand with other DoD/federal agencies is required
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Education (Bachelor’s)
- Active Secret clearance
