Key Responsibilities

• Personal Support: Provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, focusing on their daily living needs, including mobility, budgeting, and personal hygiene.
• Social Skills Development: Assist individuals in developing social skills, such as interacting with others, building relationships, and participating in community activities.
• Health and Wellness: Monitor and maintain the health and wellness of individuals, including administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and responding to emergencies.
• Household Management: Manage household tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred; specific requirements may vary depending on state regulations.
• Experience: Commitment to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities; ability to work as part of a team; valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lift, pull, and push adequate weight to assist individuals supported.
