Job Title: Cleaning Person
Summary:
A restaurant cleaner is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the restaurant. Their duties include sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing floors, cleaning restrooms, wiping down tables, counters, and kitchen equipment, emptying trash bins, and ensuring common areas are tidy. Cleaners play an essential role in creating a welcoming environment for guests and helping staff maintain health and safety standards. This position requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently, often during early mornings or late evenings when the restaurant is closed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean building floors by vacuuming, sweeping and mopping
- Put chairs down from tables
- Wash chairs, dining room tables, walls, ledges and side stands
- Wash trash cans, replacing garbage bags and putting back in designated areas
- Clean windows and mirrors
- Dust and scrub surfaces as needed
- Clean and service restrooms using mops and disinfectants
- Pick up debris and trash located outside of building as needed
- Clear communication and teamwork
- Complete sidework duties
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring all areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
- Time Management Skills: Ability to complete cleaning tasks efficiently, often within a set timeframe.
