Position Title: Computer Support Specialist, BSS/CRM System
Location: Herndon, VA
Status: Full Time
Description Summary: Computer Support Specialists are responsible for the functionality of the company’s BSS CRM system. They work with the sales and sales support teams to set up and manage user requirements and make recommendations to improve existing systems. This position works closely within China Telecom companies and must communicate in an international business environment.
Major Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Handle BSS internet system (China Telecom Global ordering system) processing, tracking and reporting; enable process consistency and efficiency; and ensure accurate, clean and vetted orders
- Set up and manage network system users
- Proactively collaborate with our Sales. Service and Delivery Teams to ensure high quality and short turnaround time for our order generation process, and provide real time activity notifications
- Order tracking and follow up; collaborating with different parties and providing real time notifications, to ensure all related parties have the same timely and accurate information
- Provide operation analysis and reports, and other required reports as requested by management
- Work closely with BSS and IT support team in Hong Kong to troubleshoot and test BSS related issues
- Collaborate with related parties on termination and early termination related client requests
- Oversee order related tasks, monitor and send reminders to different teams, and make any actions to ensure timely subtask completion
- Analyze process and system existing system for efficiency improvement, routinely share the feedback to the team, as well as BSS IT support team in Hong Kong
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Education needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, technology, electrical engineering, or equivalents
- Experience or working knowledge supporting users on similar systems, CRM, PRM and SaleForce.com or Pipeline and Opportunity management, territory management and data remediation efforts
- Ability to work with a global team and across many different job functions and staff levels
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin, including working knowledge of international business environment
- Proven problem-solving skills for a results-oriented environment
- A can-do, positive working attitude
- Working knowledge of Chinese company, Telecom, IT, or Network infrastructure preferred
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
