Position Summary:
The A/P Bookkeeper performs day-to-day functions of the Accounting department, with a focus on invoice entry and filing. This individual is knowledgeable in accounting and bookkeeping practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Inputs invoices daily in the accounting system (Red Team); files posted invoices into pending files.
- Attaches check stub to invoices after payment run is complete for general contractor, then files invoices into payables files.
- Reviews vendor statements for accuracy and to make sure all invoices have been received and entered for the general contractor.
- Prints out invoices from the payables email and distributes to the appropriate approver.
- Works with Project Managers to ensure proper job costing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent computer knowledge with proficiency in MS Office suite (especially Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and other accounting/financial management applications/platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates a high sense of urgency with the completion of tasks.
- Superb attention to detail completing assigned tasks within identified time frames delivering a quality, accurate work product.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members. Highly organized, dependable and detail oriented.
- Adept at learning new skills.
- Fluent in using standard office equipment.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Associate’s in Accounting, Finance or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 years of office experience.
Other Requirements:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, have reliable transportation and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to complete trainings as required by the company.
- This position is expected to be on-site 5 days per week.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
