Description : Position Summary
Responsible for providing exemplary customer service in any of our restaurants by performing tasks including greeting & seating guests, preparing & dispensing food, and totaling tickets & accepting payment.
Essential Functions
- Operates cash registers to accept payment including monetary, coupons, and comp slips.
- Makes change when applicable.
- Greets guests and seats them at tables suitable to their needs as necessary.
- Takes, prepares, and dispenses food orders as necessary.
- Prepare cash receipts at closing.
- Inspects dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
- Speaks with customers to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
- Performs general upkeep to designated areas. Stock merchandise and supplies as needed.
- Assists other floor personnel on an as needed basis.
- Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards.
- Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs and services.
- Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes or services.

Position Qualifications
WORKERS IN THIS POSITION MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD OR OLDER

Education
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience
One year of cash handling experience preferred.
Computer Skills
Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred.
Certificates & Licenses
Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.
Must obtain OLCC temporary permit before the start date and have OLCC Permit within 45 days of the start date.
Must obtain a Food Handlers Permit before the start date.
Must obtain VIP (Visually Impaired Person) Permit within 45 days of employment.
Other Requirements
Knowledge of regulations governing food preparation and service.
Basic math skills.

Work Environment
Work will take place in a busy gaming environment with multiple distractions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The environment is subject to smoke and the associated affects.
Working Conditions
Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.
