What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Bus Driver for Small Private School position at Chinquapin Preparatory School?
Position Summary
This is a part-time (25 hours per week) bus driver position for college preparatory middle and high school students to and from Houston and Highlands, TX. This is a school year position. Work is performed under the supervision of the Head of School.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Valid Texas CDL required
School Bus Driver Certification, preferred
Two routes per day between Houston and Highlands
The Bus Driver responsibilities are as follows:
Takes regular student attendance on their bus
Transports students to and from their designated bus stops in a timely manner
Refers students and families to the Front Office to obtain approval from the Head of School before making any changes to their bus location
Regularly inspects their assigned bus to ensure a safe drive for everyone
Communicates any bus concerns clearly and in a timely manner via our work order system
Maintains flexibility when route changes need to be made
This position reports to the Executive Assistant, who reports to the Head of School
Performs other duties as assigned by the Head of School
Salary and Benefits
Meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) served in the dining hall when school is in session
Appropriate deductions for and payments to FICA, Social Security, Medicare insurance, and annuity, as applicable
Automatic contribution of 5% of your compensation to a retirement account
Professional development (PD) funds for courses and/or materials.
