In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing and maintaining the calibration of an in-house vehicle simulation program.
Responsibilities
- Utilize an in-house vehicle simulation program to generate data for race engineers.
- Collaborate with race engineers and crew chiefs to interpret simulation data, providing actionable insights and feedback.
- Attend race, test, and rig events to provide on-site support as needed.
- Design and conduct tests to improve the accuracy and reliability of simulation outputs.
- Identify areas for improvement within the simulation program and communicate these to the programming team.
- Analyze and collate data to identify trends and provide reports to the race teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of car setup experience is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite at an intermediate level.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills to interact with all levels of a large team structure.
- Experience with coordinate measuring machines is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MATLAB is highly desirable.
