We are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and enhancement of our cutting-edge manufacturing and testing systems.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Assembler and Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly, inspection, and testing of electromechanical equipment and machinery, such as servomechanisms, gyros, dynamometers, magnetic drums, tape drives, brakes, control linkage, and actuators. This position requires a thorough understanding of blueprint reading, equipment calibration, and assembly processes to ensure all products meet high standards of quality and precision.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts for various electromechanical equipment and machines.
  • Drill and spot-face bolt holes for assembly alignment.
  • Inspect and test completed units for functionality and reliability.
  • Read, interpret, and follow schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Prepare and maintain parts lists for assembly requirements.
  • Order replacement parts as needed and tag components with identifying information.
  • Lubricate parts as required and operate drill presses to tap or ream bolt holes.
  • Attach nameplates to completed assemblies.
  • Adjust, grind, and modify parts to meet precise tolerances.
  • Inspect all components for flaws and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Position and secure assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Solder electrical components and fasten cables and wiring to ensure stable connectivity.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to verify tolerances and dimensions.
  • Test assemblies for mechanical reliability and functional integrity.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED; technical certifications in electromechanical assembly preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in electromechanical assembly or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints, schematics, and instructions.
  • Experience with soldering, precision measuring tools, and electrical components.
  • Familiarity with setting up and operating tools like punch presses, milling machines, band saws, and drill presses.
  • Knowledge of safety guidelines in an assembly environment.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other team members.
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy in performing measurements and adjustments.
