Job Summary and Qualifications
Facilitates performance improvement activities for the Cardiovascular Service Line, including General Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, and Electrophysiology.
- Nursing expertise in hospital services provided to the adult population at all levels of care (outpatient, observation, and inpatient)
- Regulatory requirements for accreditation and certification
- Performance metrics within required registries, HCA and national benchmarks
- Performance improvement tools
Supports organization's overarching quality, patient safety, and infection prevention priorities within the CV patient population.
Responsibilities
Responsible for:
- Facilitating performance improvement activities
- Engaging with external hospitals and free-standing emergency departments
- Functioning internally across disciplines and departments
- Developing evidence-based protocols
- Collaborating with Quality staff
- Providing reliable data reports on outcome performance
Requirements
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN Required, MSN preferred. Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License. 5 years clinical experience in a hospital setting; 2 years in a leadership or quality position.
