DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe duties described below are indicative of what the Administrative Assistant IV might be asked to perform. This job description is to incorporate any county ordinances created for the position of Administrative Assistant IV. This is not an exhaustive list of job responsibilities and therefore other duties may be assigned: Administrative Functions: • Serve as lead for the assigned administrative assistants within the Department of Human Services to ensure adequate reception coverage, the delivery of high-quality consumer service, and authority to delegate work to assigned administrative assistants with assistance from department managers.• Coordinate monthly meetings and other activities with the Administrative Assistants Team.• Provide input in the Administrative Assistant hiring process for department managers.• Serve as a resource for department managers when evaluating the performance of administrative assistants.• Provide confidential administrative assistance to the Human Services Director and other management staff.• Communicate professionally with consumers, co-workers, and the public. Serve as clerk for Health & Human Services Board, ADRC Board, and CJCC meetings.• Serve on workgroups or committees as assigned/approved by Human Services Director.• Prepare and accurately complete documents and reports; perform other administrative functions as requested and necessary to meet the needs of consumers and department.• Participate in Leadership Team meetings and take notes. Conduct department onboarding with new employees.• Coordinate and design department annual performance report, quarterly newsletter, other items as needed/assigned.• Collaborate and team with County departments/co-workers/other entities on special projects and events (e.g. Civil Rights Compliance).• Primary platform administrator for department social media and website.Customers: • All prospective, current or past DHS consumers.• Non-DHS employees of Chippewa County• Other counties, partners, boards and committeesTeam Members: • DHS Staff, Leadership Team and Director• DHS Administrative Assistant team• County-wide teams
