Chipton-Ross is seeking two (2) Quality Inspectors for a contract opportunity in Bristol, PA. This role requires hands-on inspection of electronic components and printed circuit board assemblies. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality inspection, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Quality Inspection of electronic components, including in-process inspection of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and assemblies.
- Ability to obtain required certifications within two (2) weeks of hire:
- IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies)
- IPC J-STD-001 (Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies – Inspection Module)
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using standard measuring tools/instruments.
- Basic arithmetic skills, including decimals and fractions.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Strong communication skills for interfacing on quality-related matters daily.
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections on vendor-supplied mechanical and electronic components.
- Perform visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections and basic functional tests.
- Inspect PCB assemblies for use in telemetry systems and other electronic equipment.
- Work from wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance.
- Follow detailed inspection procedures for receiving and in-process inspections.
- Verify component identification, proper mounting, and electrical wiring connections.
- Detect and report defects, questionable conditions, or process deviations.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and workplace cleanliness.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
- Technical school certification or equivalent experience in electronic Quality Inspection.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs as required.
Education Requirements:
- Required: Accredited High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Accredited Technical school certification or equivalent experience.
Work Hours & Schedule:
- Full-Time (9/80 Schedule)
- Monday – Thursday: 9-hour shifts
- Friday: 8-hour shift
